IHB Technology

The frequency that an irregular heartbeat (IHB) is detected is shown on the monitor by way of icons and divided into different grades. This enables the home-user/clinician to know how often an irregular heartbeat had been detected – thus indicating the level of risk to the patient. Being armed with this information enables one to seek medical attention if necessary, for example, if the grade is high, then one should consult a doctor immediately.

This %IHB function is not to be used for diagnosis, but for monitoring purposes only. This ground-breaking technology is now used worldwide assisting in the opportunistic detection of arrhythmias – which include AFib (or Atrial Fibrillation).
