Empress Two Type 2 Support Bandage

Empress Two is a type 2 light support bandage made from nylon, viscose, and elastomeric yarn. This light support bandage is designed to act as the 2nd layer of a 4 layer compression system, and to aid the compression properties of the 3rd and 4th layers of the system. Alternatively, Empress Two light support bandages can also be used separately to offer support to strains and sprains.

Indications for Use:

Dressing retention
Sprains and strains
Joint support
Layer 2 compression in 4 layer system

Application as a compression system:

Ensure soft padding is applied over the area of use.
Beginning one finger above the white bandage from the toes.
Apply in a circular motion with 50% coverage of previous wrap.
Wrap around the ankle in a figure 8, ensure full heel coverage.
Work up the leg, using the 50% coverage measure and appropriate pressure is being applied.
Trim any excess bandage and secure with appropriate fixation device.

Application as a supportive bandage:

Wrap around limb or joint identified as needing support in a figure 8.
Ensure full coverage of wound, dressing or joint.
Secure with tape.
